Authentic, hand-crafted and genuinely delicious, Lucky’s Doughnuts are made fresh throughout the day using the highest quality natural ingredients.

The idea was to keep it simple, and just make doughnuts the old fashioned way, no frozen product, nothing trucked in; just simple, delicious doughnuts and exceptional coffee.

As a sub-brand of 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters, Lucky's Doughnuts has delighted the Vancouver food scene with countless innovative and seasonal doughnut favorites.

Our culinary team is up early, rolling out the dough and prepping each component. Everything is made fresh, from scratch, no exceptions. With the same focus and commitment to quality and ingredient sourcing as our coffee program, you can taste the difference in a Lucky's Doughnut.

Executive Chef, Aaron Surman has taken our recipes from their humble beginnings to next level deliciousness. Chef Aaron brings a wealth of knowledge and technique in addition to years of experience at many of the top restaurants and patisseries in Melbourne and Vancouver.

From the moment we opened the doors at our Main St. location in 2012, we knew we were in for a ride. Our seasonal menu is ever evolving and we thrive on the challenge of providing the best doughnuts to the city of Vancouver using high-quality ingredients and thoughtful technique.


The Downtown Project

In the fall of 2017, we opened the doors at our third location in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Situated at the corner of West Georgia and Thurlow St. the opening marked the start of a new ambitious project for the 49th and Lucky’s team.

Owners Vince and Marisa were inspired by trips to Santa Monica, CA and the availability of fresh, delicious, made to order breakfasts and lunches that were readily available. They decided this was something Vancouver was in need of. This 49th Parallel & Lucky’s Doughnuts Cafe features a unique, small kitchen where Eggburgers, Brunch Plates and various Toast items are topped with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

In similar fashion to our other two 49th Cafes, a dedicated team of pastry chefs make the famous Lucky’s Doughnuts from scratch every day. Stop in around noon to try our exceptional Sourdoughnut made without the use of commercial yeasts or leaveners. Trust us, it’s one of a kind.

We don’t offer pre-orders on specialty savoury items just yet. Rest assured, as we settle into our new digs we will be working towards making getting you your coffee and treats a simple, and quick mobile experience.
